birthday party 3 months after actual birthday, good or bad idea?
sons birthday was 9-30 – we had the party schedule for 10-03 but a close family member passed away 10-02 so we had to cancel last minute – hes been bugging about his birthday party and when is it going to happen – we have events schedule for whats left of the year except 12-19 – would it be too late to celebrate his birthday until then? we have decorations, candy, pinata, favors, tableware all we would need to buy is food – should i do it or not – what would you think if someone invites you to a kids party 3 months after their actual birthday?
He still needs his special day whether it’s 3 months late or not. You have the stuff, so it’s not a last minute expense. I would just do it. You don’t have to explain to your guests why the party was delayed. My mom has actually done that for me awhile back and we did have guests at the party. Or, you could do something like buy a cake and combine one of your other events and let him go to an arcade or movie with a few friends after you get home.
